I guess that this one wasn't so bad, so it was mostly just beautiful. There were a few fallen branches and a lot of people out shaking trees to get some of the ice off.
Great ice! Good to hear from you, I thought you must have gone native or something! Perhaps sent out on an ice flow. What did you do for fun over the long winter?
I was hibernating. I'm thinking of including a section from a bear's perspective in my novel. In that section the bear will mostly be sleeping, reading and watching "Nurse Jackie" in some sort of bear cave while storms and bad weather prevail outside. It's really nice outside now. Snow is melting. Cautious people have told me not to get too excited about spring yet . . .
Just gorgeous, but all ice storms look bad to someone who hasn't lived through a winter north of Las Cruces! The only thing I know for sure is to not lick any poles!
Ice storms are beautiful, but I remember a Michigan one that took out our power for 3 days - we kept hearing huge trees cracking and falling!
